2015 Nissan Versa Combines Quality and Affordability

If you are looking for a stylish, affordably priced, and solidly built car that delivers great fuel economy, then look no further than the 2015 Versa.

As one of the most economically priced vehicles on the market, the 2015 Versa offers all the quality of a new Nissan at a price that’s competitive with many pre-owned vehicles. In fact, at a remarkable $11,990, it ranks as the lowest-starting MSRP of any vehicle sold in America.

2015 Nissan Versa

Quality features at an affordable price
The low entry-level price for a Versa doesn’t mean that you’re getting an entry-level car. Even in its base “S” trim, the Nissan Versa comes equipped with many of the features of more expensively-priced vehicles; like hands-free Bluetooth® connectivity, standard air conditioning, CD audio with auxiliary input, ABS brakes with Electronic brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist, Vehicle Dynamic Control and Traction Control for improved stability, speed-sensitive electric power steering, and a tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS). You’ll also get a spirited, gas-sipping 109 hp four-cylinder engine that delivers excellent fuel economy with an EPA-estimated 27 mpg city/36 mpg highway.

But that’s just the beginning. Continue reading

13 Spring Cleaning Ideas for Your Nissan and Your Home

It will soon be springtime here in the ABQ, and that can only mean that once again it’s time to roll up your sleeves, get out your vacuum and duster, and give your home a thorough spring cleaning. Because we know what a chore this annual ritual can be, we here at Melloy Nissan, your number-one Nissan dealership in Albuquerque, New Mexico, want to give you some encouragement with some helpful spring-cleaning tips. Because we’re obviously partial to Nissans, we’re also including some additional ways you can give your ride a spring cleaning of its own.

Nissan-spring-cleaning

For your Nissan:

  1. Clean the engine and underbody– Flush dirt from your car’s underbody with a high-pressure hose. Steam clean your engine (or have it professionally done) to remove dirt and grease buildup; especially on the engine itself. While you’re at it, check your battery terminals corrosive buildup and clean with a mixture of water and baking soda applied with a toothbrush.
  2. Protect your car’s exterior and interior – Use a good quality paste or liquid wax to both restore and protect your car’s finish. A stiff brush will remove dirt and grime from window channels, and floor mats… Or have your Nissan professionally detailed.
  3. Replace wiper blades – Be prepared for any wet springtime weather by installing a new set of wiper blades. You should do this as often as twice a year, or when they begin to show signs of wear like streaking, scraping, or skipping.
  4. Inspect your tires – Properly inflated tires help save gas and will increase their longevity. Look for the sticker inside the front driver’s side door for the correct psi or consult your owner’s manual. Visually look for uneven tread wear, cracks or gouges in the sidewalls, or nails. If you suspect a problem, take them to our service department here at Melloy Nissan.
  5. Check fluids and oil levels – If your brake or power-steering fluids look low, top them off with fluids made especially for your Nissan, and always use a clean, unopened container to avoid contamination. Check your antifreeze/coolant levels while the engine is cold by looking at the overflow reservoir. Most importantly, check your oil and transmission fluid. Our certified Nissan techs will be happy to do this for you.

THE REDESIGNED 2016 NISSAN MAXIMA, WHAT SHOULD WE EXPECT? #MELLOYNISSAN

(Always remember you discovered Melloy Nissan on FACEBOOK or Social Media for special offers and discounts).

The Nissan Maxima will always be a standout car for Nissan.  The Maxima, Z, and Skyline series are cars that come to mind when anyone brings up the subject of Nissan. When a redesign happens with any of these vehicles we only expect the best.  The current Nissan Maxima has kept its look since 2009 and now a long awaited fresh look will debut in the near future (April to be exact). We’ve seen this Redesigned Nissan Maxima and all I can say its look, and options are better than ever.  (Photo Courtesy Of Carscoops)

This years Super Bowl XLIX commercial hit home for many viewers — including myself. The ad features; a professional race car driver behind the seat of a GT-R Nismo GT and the new GT-R Nismo LMP1 Le Mans racer.  He sacrificed time away from his family to persue his career in racing.  The ad not only depicts Nissan’s Legacy in Motorsports, it also shows viewers the sacrifices some family’s endure as we chase our carriers and professions. What’s really touching about this ad is the father son bond.  The son in this commercial wants to grow up to be just like his father.  The son missed his dad, but looked up to him as a hero figure.  At the end of the ad the father and son reunite in what appears to be the 2016 Nissan Maxima. Trust me when I say: this car is the New Maxima. So what should we expect out the 2016 Nissan Maxima?

This next generation Nissan Maxima will most likely feature a new and improved version of Nissan’s well known VQ engine, attached to a CVT transmission.

Nissan has gone with bolder, more aggressive styling, points for this next generation Maxima. This Maxima looks aggressive while still appealing to people with a taste of sport and luxury.  Save On All Nissan’s When You Mention Founding Us On Social Media

All the info on the New 2016 Nissan Maxima will be available at this years New York auto show in April.  This car looks great in the pictures, and I’ve always said things look even better when you see them in person.  The New 2016 Nissan Maxima is hands down the best design yet.  Wait till you see this vehicle in person.  We’ll keep you posted as more info becomes available.

Nice weather, and news of this new Maxima means great deals on all existing cars on ground at Melloy Nissan.  Versa, Sentra, Altima, Maxima, will all be on sale for the remainder of February.

Lease vs Purchase: What’s Best for You?

There are a lot of important decisions to make when buying a car: Will it be a four-door sedan or an SUV? What automotive brand do you prefer (We’re partial to Nissan, of course)? What types of options will you choose? And how much of a monthly payment do you want? But one of the most important decisions you will make is how you will finance your vehicle purchase. Unless you plan to pay cash, the two most common forms of financing are leasing and a straight loan, either from a finance company or a bank.

lease vs. purchase

Of course, whether you choose to lease or buy will be based on a number of factors, such as your credit, your driving habits, and your lifestyle. Here at Melloy Nissan, we want to help make that decision a little easier by explaining the differences between leasing and purchasing.

The Benefits of Leasing
When purchasing a car, you finance the agreed-upon purchase price by taking out a loan for a certain amount of time at a specific interest rate. But with a lease, you are actually paying the difference between the car’s sticker price and what the value of it will be at the conclusion of the lease. Here’s an example: Let’s say that the MSRP of your new car is $25,000 and you decide on a three-year lease. Continue reading
