Introducing the Nissan Titan Warrior Concept.

Nissan’s Titan made the spotlights in 2016 as the Titan XD Diesel is set to hit Dealership inventory’s this January!  We’ve seen huge interest in from Nissan fans across New Mexico as this beast of a truck becomes available for the Albuquerque market.  The Titan XD will offer a more affordable segment to the diesel truck market where heavy duty attitude will meet half ton pickup territory. Since Melloy Nissan went public on social media about the release date of the Titan XD on social media we’ve had a unprecedented surge of customers come to Melloy Nissan requiring information on the Titan HD Diesel and the unleaded version that’s set to be available later in 2016.  I’ve seen/driven this truck and there are so many reasons to be excited about the future of the Nissan Titan!

With this exciting redesign Nissan re-imagined the Nissan Titan in all segments of the market – including the market for the off-road enthusiast.  I’m happy to say that Titan and Frontier are not only venturing into the diesel market, but also stepping boldly into Ford Raptor, and Toyota’s Trd Pro Market with a concept that will redefine Nissan’s off-road heritage in our truck market.  Meet the Nissan Titan Warrior Concept!

As we can see from these pictures the Nissan Titan Warrior concept looks to be the perfect rival for Ford’s 2017 F-150 Raptor!  And unfortunately for Toyota it puts the already awkward Toyota TRD Pro to shame from an aggressive off-road point of view.  The Nissan Titan Warrior XD will feature a Cummins 5.0L diesel engine, and no doubt an unleaded version would also be available!

Slide1 Even though the Titan Warrior is just a concept there is no doubt in my mind that Nissan has payed attention to the high demand for performance trucks across the market, and the Nissan Titan Warrior goes hand in hand with redesigning the Titan from the ground up.  I do believe Nissan has some big plans for the Nissan Titan and Nissan Frontier in the Performance segment, and soon after the release of the Non Diesel version of the Titan XD in late 2016, this performance version will ultimately become a reality.

Don’t Miss Tonight’s Blood Moon Event! Clear NM Skies and Our Nissan’s Will Make for an Awesome Sight!

I’m a car guy that loves astronomy as much as I love Nissan GT-Rs and Nissan Frontiers. So you better believe it when I say tonight I’m sitting behind the seat of my Nissan 240sx, firing up my ST20det 4 cyl engine, and headed up to the Crest to watch tonight’s lunar eclipse, or “Blood Moon” event.

Why is this event so special?  Well, for one this will not happen for another 18 years. The moon  will also appear 14 percent larger as it rises over the Sandia’s, and 30 percent brighter than most full moons, all because of the close proximity of the moon to the earth in 2015. However, tonight‘s full moon will stand out because it will be the closest moon of 2015 — coming within 221,753 miles of Earth. It is also the Harvest Moon and a blood moon.

This blood moon event will be quite the sight to see as I watch it start alongside the hum of my Sr20det Silvia engine at 7 pm tonight. A blood moon is no different than a lunar eclipse, but tonight this event will be spectacular because of the moons close proximity to earth and the clear skies that are forested across New Mexico. Not only will it be a blood moon and a Harvest Moon, but it will also coincide with a full lunar eclipse.  The term blood moon comes for the red glow of the moon as the earth’s shadow casts upon it causing it!  

So I urge everyone to get behind the wheel of your Nissan  and find a neat spot this Sunday night. The last time a supermoon lunar eclipse happened was in 1982. And if you miss this one, the next chance to catch a glimpse will be in 2033.

This years Super Bowl XLIX commercial hit home for many viewers — including myself. The ad features; a professional race car driver behind the seat of a GT-R Nismo GT and the new GT-R Nismo LMP1 Le Mans racer.  He sacrificed time away from his family to persue his career in racing.  The ad not only depicts Nissan’s Legacy in Motorsports, it also shows viewers the sacrifices some family’s endure as we chase our carriers and professions. What’s really touching about this ad is the father son bond.  The son in this commercial wants to grow up to be just like his father.  The son missed his dad, but looked up to him as a hero figure.  At the end of the ad the father and son reunite in what appears to be the 2016 Nissan Maxima. Trust me when I say: this car is the New Maxima. So what should we expect out the 2016 Nissan Maxima?

This next generation Nissan Maxima will most likely feature a new and improved version of Nissan’s well known VQ engine, attached to a CVT transmission.
